Cabbage
Take cabbage leaves one hand full. Boil them in a bowl and drain the water. Mash the boiled leaves and apply on all over the sunburnt and tanned area. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash off with normal water.
Repeat the same process for 2 weeks. This acts like a protective and excellent balm for the skin. Use this when ever over-expose to hot sun rays.

Turmeric Powder and Milk
Take milk 3 table spoon and add turmeric powder one table spoon. Apply on the face and affected areas. Leave on to get dry. Massage in circular movements and then rinse off. It is very useful to remove tan and also helps to remove facial hair.
Green Gourd
Take green gourd and cut into thin and round slices. Rub with these slices on all over the affected areas. Repeat the same for 4/5 times. Leave it on and rinse with water before going to bed. It is very beneficial for sunburnt skin.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is excellent to cure tan and sunburn. Take few Aloe Vera leaves and puree them. Add one lemon juice to it. Apply this solution on all over the effected tan and sunburn area. It can be applied on all over the face. Aloe Vera has three qualities in it. It cleanses, nourishes and clears the skin.
Tomato and Oatmeal
Take 2 tomatoes and puree them. Add curd 2 tablespoons and oatmeal one tablespoon. Mix well to make the fine and thick paste.
Apply on the tan and sunburnt skin. It can be applied on all over the face. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse off with normal water. It is also helpful in exfoliation of the skin.
Ice for Tan and Sunburnt Skin
Rub with ice cubes on all over the tan and sunburn area whenever exposed to hot sun. This recipe is so simple very effective.
Honey and Lime
Take honey 2 tablespoons and add one lime juice to it. Mix well and apply on tan and sunburn area. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water. It is an excellent remedy to lighten and soothe the skin.
Lemon and Sugar
Take one lemon juice and add 1 tablespoon sugar to it. Rub this lotion on the tanned and sunburnt areas. Keep massaging in circular movements. Let it get dry and rinse with plain water. This recipe is helpful to remove tan and exfoliation of the skin.
