Deepika Padukone born on 5th Jan 1986. She born in Copenhagen, Denmark. When she was eleven months old her family moved to Bangalore, India. Her mother travel agent and father Prakash Padukone is a retired badminton player of international repute. She has a younger sister Anisha.
Deepika Padukone studied in Sophia high school in Bangalore, and pre-university studies completed at mount camel college Bangalore. Till 10th standard she use to play state level badminton. She was not interested in badminton career. She appeared in prints and television commercials like limca, Liril and closeup. Then she was face of Maybelline, an international brand and also brand ambassador for jewels of India, a Jewellery exhibition.
In 2006 she worked as an actress in kannada film “Aishwarya” opposite Upendra. The next year she made a bollywood debut with frah khan’s Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Then she worked in movie Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film was well received at the box office in 2009. After this, she worked in a good number of bollywood movies.

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor fall in love on the sets of their first film together Bachna Ae Haseeno in Sydney. They use to spend the day together as lunch became coffee. Deepika Padukone Suffering with Depression and Anxiety
Deepika Padukon appeared on news channel and revealed that she is suffering from anxiety and depression. She said ,”In early 2014, when she was being appreciated for her work, one morning, she woke up feeling different. A day earlir, she had fainted due to exhaustion; it was downhill from there. She felt a strange emptiness in her stomach.
She said, she thought it was stress, so tried to give more focus on work. And surrounding herself with people, which helped for a while. But she is unable to get rid of the nagging feeling. She was unable to concentrate, her breath was shallow and She broke down often. Over a period of time, it got worse.
Her parents worried about her as she living alone and working long hours. So she use to put up brave front in front of them. Once while talking to her mother Ujjala Padukone, she broke down. She realize the problem, and got in touch with a friend. Her friend is psychologist, Anna Chandy to get the cause of this problem. Anna Chandy concluded that deepika padukone suffering from anxiety and depression.
When Anna Chandy suggested, Deepika Padukone Started taking medication. She met with another psychologist, Dr. Shyam Bhatt, in Bengaluru for a second opinion. She accepted her condition after counseling but only to some extent. She started taking medication and she feels much better.
The world health organization stated in next few years this will be the most widespread epidemic. Anxiety and depression are one of deadliest mental disorders.
Deepika Padukone Accepted about anxiety and depression
Deepika Padukone said, after overcoming this she feels strong and value her life much more. Accepting and speaking about anxiety and depression liberated her. She stooped taking medication. She hopes her example will help people to come out of this by speaking out about it without hiding.
Being depressed and being sad are two different things. The people who suffer from depression they don’t look so, while they sad will look sad.
How can she be depressed? She has everything, number one heroine, plush home, car, and movies what else she is looking for? Depression and anxiety are not about what she has or don’t have. Mental health is as important as physical health.
People suffering and feel shy to talk about it which leads to the very serious problem that could be death. Need to speak out about this and get support and understanding through any psychologist.
Now Deepika Padukone working on an initiative to create awareness about depression and anxiety, and wants to help people. She also said her team is working with her to formulate this plan, which will come in action soon.
