Dear Readers, There are many saree styles apart from the regular saree style. All can try these styles as it gives different look and increase women’s beauty. In India most of the people wear saree regularly after marriage.
Gujarati Saree Style
The opposite end of the hem, wrap one round around the waist. Then fold the palav in equal parts of folds. The folded palav-end take back from left and bring it up by wrapping on the right shoulder. Drop the palav in the front. On the right shoulder pin it up.
Back to the waist now, middle part of the saree fold carefully in equal folds and push it in front in the folded part, in the centre of the waist. Loose palav-end take back from (dropping in) the front and with the blouse pin it up.
Marathi Saree Style
The opposite end of the hem, wrap one round around the waist, tie one knot on the right side and fit it. Then fold the palav in equal folds carefully. The folded palav take back from the left side and bring it to the right side by wrapping it. Then on the left shoulder pin it up the fold. The opposite side of the saree, which has been on the left shoulder fold carefully on its right side and set it neatly. On the opposite side push it in.
Then lower part of the fold hold and from between the two legs take it on the back side and on the back side of the waist push it in the middle. To give grand look wear a gold band on the waist.
Note: For this style saree must be of nine yards. No need to wear petticoat for this style. Wear tights, three-fourth pant or slacks.
Devdas Saree or Bengali Saree Style
From the left side of the waist wrap the opposite end of the palav. Finish one round and in the second round bring it to the front. Then take the long palav end from the front to the left shoulder and at the back side drop till a good length. On the left shoulder pin it up. Now middle part of the saree fold into two folds and push it to the right side waist.
Then pull the border folds of the lowest fold, take it back to the right side and with the blouse pin it up. Now the long palav end bring in the front from the back side and on the right shoulder pin it up.
Note: Right from the shoulders up to the ankles it gives V shape style with attractive looks. For this style use saree with good designed border.
